This is serious and I urge everyone who is anyone to take a look and take a stand before any South African ISP's try to follow what Virgin Media is doing.

The Internet is and always must remain the great leveler. On the internet their has always been a state called, net-neutrality ,  Simply put, Virgin Media wants to infringe on this freedom by making people running sites with the money to pay get faster bandwidth than all of those who cannot pay. The new CEO of Virgin Media, Neil Berkett, has openly stated in an interview that they think net neutrality is "a load of bollocks" and claimed they're already doing deals to deliver some people's content faster than others. They would then put websites and services that don't pay Virgin in the "slow lane", meaning those sites would load slowly and cause most users to give up using them, feeling forced to use whatever Virgin wants to push through their network.

We must act together to stop this as it will be devastating to the internet if we allow it to happens. 

People never cease to amaze me. I run a property listing website called Property Axis . On this site I let people, estate agents or private sellers, list their properties for free. Yes, not a cent is charged. For this low price I give them 12 photo's and 1000 impressions of their property advert. The site gives all the usual things, ability to contact seller directly, ability for seller to put up their own photo and, if they are an estate agent, their corporate logo.

Everyones a bit concerned, naturally so, about the impending 60% tariff rate hike on electricity prices. This on the back of the load shedding we're experiencing Eskom is not the most popular company. But it seems that every dark cloud does have a silver lining as sales on our Prepaid Electricity Meters is up quite dramatically since the news of the price increase.

Seems landlords are realizing that if electricity prices go up then they will have even heavier bills to collect from tenants. Which is not wrong and I think even more so a problem when I consider that Winter is nearly upon us.

I'd like to share a website with all my blog followers who, like me, are mostly interested in property and property investing, but more so are the types of people who are humbly aware that they are not perfect and therefore keenly interested in self-improvement.
