If you have ever tried to rank a website, then I am sure you know what I mean and have experienced the frustration. During my involvement with open source projects, the entrepreneur in me cannot help ponder on ways to apply free and open technologies or their concepts for commercial purposes. One such project/concept is The Freedom Toaster . Over the past years, the site has grown to have around 500 members. It's a good website and works well as a forum. However, despite promises by the owner of Ardent to do more than just the forum, it has never gone beyond this point.
