StreetWise Letting for Property Investors
Wednesday, 29 August 2007

As spring finally nears, after a Winter we thought was never going to end, our Property Investor Network our online property investor community website now has over 500 members and looks set to grow from strength to strength. As the site grows we are trying different methods to take a free membership base and monetize it by offering services that are of value to property investors.

One of the ways we are trying to help property investors is by providing them with knowledge via the website forum by sharing our knowledge and experience. This has led to the development of an idea we call "StreetWise Property Investing". The concept is to deliver practical knowledge and experience gained through the university of life with academic facts.

StreetWise will hopefully grow into a brand sporting a number of written and training products. Starting with the basics of property investing and branching into a number of more advance education programs. The first course, in what is to be a series, focuses on the task of "Letting Management" and is called "StreetWise Letting for Property Investors ".

This is the first time we are running such a workshop event which is to be held on the 28th of September. The workshop is focused on transferring knowledge about the practical and legal aspects letting for property investors. In this workshop we have combined our personal experience with legal facts so that property investors will be able to gain a strong fundamental understanding of their obligations as landlords and legal responsibilities from both the landlord and tenant perspective.

I  must confess that we are very nervous about the whole thing. While we are confident that we have the experience and knowledge required to deliver the course, this is still the first time we are doing such an event. The work required in preparation has been challenging to say least and we hope the course will be well attended and set the stage for further products in the future.
